Pain & Injury Treatment

We understand how important it is to have a structured and timely recovery from injury. Whether your goal is to compete in a triathlon or get back to running around with the kids, we work with you at whatever stage you’re at.

At HK Podiatry, we are uniquely qualified in that all of our current podiatrists have a strong background and a keen interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation – just check out our bios here. Our vision is firmly set on your long-term outcomes – not just helping to alleviate your pain and restore strength and function to your injury site now, but to take the right steps to help prevent it from happening again in the future.

Your recovery plan is based on proven, gold-standard principles. It encompasses all the deficits that we identify through your assessment, not just the ones directly related to your injury. This way, we don’t just help you recover, but aim to optimise your performance and leave you feeling and moving better than when you first walked through our doors.

Common injuries we treat include:

  • Runner’s knee (patellofemoral pain syndrome)
  • Knee pain (ACL injuries, patellar tendonitis and more)
  • Shin splints
  • Achilles and calf pain
  • Hip pain resulting from leg length differences
  • Plantar fasciitis heel pain
  • Forefoot and midfoot pain
  • Sesamoiditis
  • Muscle strains and tears
  • Stress fractures
  • Overuse injuries
  • Growing pains in kids

Prevention is key.

You don’t need to have an injury to get help from our podiatrists. We work with many active individuals, both adults and school-aged children, to help optimise the way they move and play. This includes retraining their gait (the way they move and run), optimising their foot and lower limb function with corrective orthotics, addressing muscular deficits through strengthening and stretching prescription and more.

With every patient, education is at the heart of what we do. We make sure you know exactly what has happened and is currently happening, why, how to manage your risks, and how to make the best decisions for your lower limb health.

Take back control of your foot and leg health.
